For me, this year has held many ups and downs. I have met some great friends and lost some old ones.
I have learned many new things about myself and changed my perspective in other things. Every year I hold everything that has happened to me close to my heart because it makes me the person I will be in the new year.
The best thing for this year is that our Military men and woman have been pulled out of Iraq. I am very glad that many of them will be spending the holidays with their families. Now out of that joy comes a little sadness that my brother is not one of them. This will be the second Christmas we celebrate without him since he was killed during his 3rd tour of duty but we celebrate his life with memories, stories, and our extreme pride that he gave his life while doing something that he had pride and honor in and that was Serving the US Marine Corps.
So while you are celebrating the holidays, remember to never take your family and friends for granted. Show them how much they mean to you and tell them at every single chance that you love them. Be grateful for the things you have and if it is in your power, DO SOMETHING FOR THOSE WITHOUT OR THOSE THAT HAVE VERY LITTLE. Pay it forward!!!
FROM MY FAMILY TO YOURS, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
